"At heart, ShelaLara a winery good as Golds"
It's tempting to be cute when talking about ShelaLara Vineyards & Winery. I so want to use the expression "It's not your mother's winery" to describe how very different it is. Then I want to surprise with the fact it is a mother's winery. In fact, Mom is a lovely, warm woman running it with two loving sons. Together the three, Sheila, Andrew and Jason Gold, are smartly building a business with heart, passion, hard work and good taste. Read More...

'STEP RIGHT UP!': Annual Fundraiser
hosted by Crossroads Rhode Island
September 22, 2012
ShelaLara was invited by Crossroads Rhode Island to share signature Wine Slush drinks with 600 top sponsors at this annual fundraising gala, and glady stepped up to the challenge. Pat Campellone, Christine Luke, and their team magically transformed an airport hangar into a Big Top, complete with aerial acrobatic performers, men on stilts, bearded ladies, strong men, warped mirrors, games, concessions, live music, and incredible food by Russell Morin Fine Catering. Guests were able to enjoy wine slush concoctions that complemented the circus theme, including a 'Strawberry Lemonade', the 'OMG Chocolate-Covered Strawberry' and a Cotton Candy wine slush garnished with real cotton candy. It was all fun and games to support a cause that's no laughing matter. Crossroads Rhode Island provides critical care to homeless families, women and men in Rhode Island, including: crisis intervention and case management, shelter and housing, education and vocational services, and health & dental care.
25th Anniversary MS After Dark Wine Tasting: 'An Evening of Wine & Art!'
hosted by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society Rhode Island Chapter
August 16, 2012
ShelaLara proudly participated in the recent 'MS After Dark Wine Tasting', hosted by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society Rhode Island Chapter. The event was held at the Providence Art Club to support the National MS Society's mission "...to mobilize people and resources to drive research for a cure and to address the challenges of everyone affected by MS." Guests sampled wines paired with light fare while appreciating artwork and mingling with other supporters and sponsors. ShelaLara proudly supports Crossroads Rhode Island. Find out more about their mission, and ways you can help, at: www.CrossroadsRI.org. Mrs. Rhode Island became a fan of ShelaLara wines at the tasting, and posed for pictures while sharing samples with a smile.
